Middle School - Physical Well-Being

Regular physical activity, good nutrition, clean air, avoiding drugs, alcohol, and tobacco, can help children and adolescents improve cardiorespiratory fitness, build strong bones and muscles, control weight, reduce symptoms of anxiety and reduce the risk of developing health conditions such as heart disease and cancer. Research has shown that our physical well-being has an impact on conditions such as anxiety, depression and our stress tolerance and cognitive agility.

Middle school aged youth must learn about the importance of exercise, dangers of smoking, importance of sleep, how to avoid stress, maintaining a healthy weight and eating a healthy diet.

The ARISE Life Skills Middle School curriculum below will help middle schoolers learn important lessons to help improve their physical well-being.
