Middle School - Violence and Conflict
Research studies have shown that much violent behavior can be decreased or even prevented if the risk factors for this behavior such as: intense anger, loss of temper, impulsivity and being easily frustrated can be significantly reduced. To accomplish this these youngsters, need lessons on how violence in the media affects them, how conflict resolution skills can improve the outcome of conflicts in their life, and how to deal with anger. The ARISE Life Skills Curriculum below provide lesson plans to help middle schoolers learn how to deal with violence and conflict.
