Middle School - Anger Management
The middle school years can bring emotional changes that make them feel confused and frustrated which can lead to anger. This age brings significant hormonal shifts that affect mood. At this age young people are striving for an increased sense of independence. These feelings often show up as disrespect and rebellious behavior. You can’t always control the situation one is in or how it makes you feel, but you can control how you express anger. You can communicate feelings without being verbally or physically abusive. ARISE life skills lessons for middle school can help these preteens gain a greater sense of self-awareness to know what triggers anger and how to appropriately respond to anger. The ARISE life skills curriculum below provide lesson plans to help middle school youth understand their anger and manage it appropriately.
