High School - Conflict Resolution
Conflict Resolution and Violence Prevention for Teens and Young Adults
Teens face many challenges such as making the right decisions, choosing the right friends, and expressing emotions. Teenagers are volatile because they are going through puberty and sometimes other intense difficulties. Navigating the high school years can be hard but if the youth have the right tools, they can work through these years and have an easier time for the rest of their lives.
Dealing with conflict is part of this period of growth and change. In dealing with violence and conflict in their lives, they need to learn conflict resolution and violence prevention strategies, learn how to get along with parents, teachers, and other authority figures, understand how media affects them, and learn non-violent codes of conduct. The ARISE Life Skills Curriculum below provides lesson plans to help high school youth and young adults learn conflict resolution, including how to deal with violence.
