High School / Young Adults - Violence and Conflict
Teens face many challenges such as making the right decisions, choosing the right friends, and expressing emotions. Teenagers are volatile because they are going through puberty and sometimes intense difficulties. Navigating the high school years can be hard but if the youth have the right tools, they can work through these years and have an easier rest of their lives. Dealing with conflict is part of this growth period. In dealing with violence and conflict in their lives, they need to learn the steps to resolve conflict, learn how to get along with parents, teachers, and anyone in authority, understand how media affects them and learn non-violent codes of conduct. The ARISE Life Skills Curriculum below provide lesson plans to help high school youth learn how to deal with violence and conflict.
