High School - Teen Parents
Becoming a teen parent makes life more difficult. Teen parents can raise a happy, healthy, and successful child, but it takes education and work. Teens need to learn the responsibilities of being a parent, including the responsibility to provide a safe environment, make sure basic needs are met, enhance the child’s self-esteem, teach morals and values, develop mutual respect, provide effective and appropriate discipline, and be involved in the child's education. The ARISE life skills curriculum below provides lesson plans to help girls and boys become successful parents who can bring up healthy and happy children.
