North Palm Beach, FL – ARISE Foundations has been awarded a $2,500 grant from the Key Biscayne Rotary Club. ARISE will use the grant to pay for a videographer to video tape and edit the ARISE Drop It at the Door Training. The videotaping will be used to create an online training for juvenile justice facilities state wide, that cannot send their staff to a live ARISE training, due to drastic budget cuts.

The ARISE Drop It at the Door training provides staff, with a solid understanding of how to make the choice to drop – home and work-related anger, stress and frustration – “at the door.” This training effectively stops the boomerang effect of stress and negativity, relieving the tension and harmful emotions that can shuttle between the workplace and home. By offering the ARISE Drop It at the Door Training online, it will enable juvenile justice facilities and other organizations working with at-risk youth in Florida, to participate while not having to spend additional money to send their staff to a live ARISE Training.

“It feels sweet to be able to touch some lives here with the small amount we can distribute in these hard economic times,” said Robert Brookes, a longtime member of the club.

The Rotary Club of Key Biscayne was founded in 1976.  One of over 30,000 clubs worldwide, it is comprised of local business and professional leaders who join together to provide humanitarian service to the greater Miami community and around the world. Their goal is to encourage high ethical standards in professional and personal lives, and promote good will and fellowship.  The Rotary Club of Key Biscayne advances their principal motto “Service Above Self’ during weekly meetings and a variety of service projects and social events.  This particular club is comprised of a highly diverse group of men and women spanning numerous cultures and creeds.

Since ARISE was established in 1986 , it has trained and certified  over 5,457 ARISE Life-Skills Group Facilitators who have taught over 5,400,000 documented hours (averaging 13,646 hours per month) of interactive ARISE Life Skills lessons for at-risk youth and teens across the United States and beyond. ARISE is also being used in Canada, Jamaica, England, Australia, Bahamas, Bermuda, New Zealand, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Bosnia, Kazakhstan, Kingdom of Bahrain, South Africa, Vietnam, Uganda, Nigeria and Haiti.
