ARISE Foundation Launches Brand New Website Solely Dedicated to Teen Pregnancy Prevention
North Palm Beach, FL – December 9th, 2011 – ARISE is proud to announce the launch of their brand new website discourageteenpregnancy.org, which will be solely dedicated to the ARISE Sprouts Series, a teen pregnancy awareness and prevention program. The ARISE Sprouts curriculum is made up of five books, detailing the facts and risks of teen pregnancy.
This evidence-based teen pregnancy prevention material provides memorable, step-by-step lessons in simple English and Spanish. The ARISE Sprouts Series deals with the realities of making babies and all that is involved in raising them. The goal of these lessons is to provide girls with not only good practical reasons to postpone sex, but to also educate them on how their social lives, their bodies, and their future aspirations are affected by teen pregnancy.
Both cautionary and instructional, ARISE Sprouts covers everything from prenatal nutrition to stress management to raising a happy, healthy child. This compelling resource uses simple language, interactive activities and thoughtful exercises to help prevent teen pregnancy by graphically describing the huge responsibility of parenting.Equipped with a handy glossary to help teens understand important terms, Sprouts uses uncomplicated language to explain how having a baby will impact teens every day of their lives.
Since ARISE was established in 1986, it has trained and certified over 5,559 ARISE Life-Skills Group Facilitators who have taught over 5,830,857 documented hours (averaging 13,646 hours per month) of interactive ARISE Life-Skills lessons for at-risk youth and teens across the United States and beyond.
